TAE4-HYDP Youth Scholarship Criteria and Application
Deadline June 15, 2023 to Apply!
Criteria:
- Texas Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals (TAE4-HYDP) member must have been a member of the association for at least three (3) years and must continue to be employed by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service at the time the scholarship is awarded.
- Graduating high school seniors who have been admitted to an accredited college or university
- Enrolled undergraduates in good academic standing at an accredited college or university
- Individual youth may receive this scholarship one time only
- This scholarship is not restricted to any major field of study
- Applicant has been active in 4-H for at least 3 of last 4 years
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- 2 Letters of recommendation- from those not directly related to you
- Transcript will need to be uploaded, can utilize encryption or blur out sensitive information, committee members will be the only ones reviewing these documents
Selection Method:
- The scholarship recipient will be chosen by a committee of at least three TAE4-HYDP members in good standing. The committee will consist of members who do not have a dependent applying for the scholarship. All decisions by the Scholarship Committee are final.

- Criteria: Career Goals,4-H Projects, 4-H and community leadership, GPA & Class Rank
- Awards:
- Notification date: 2023, July 1st.
- Notification date: 2024 and on will be May 15th
- Scholarship amounts will be at the discretion of committee. Award be awarded with presentation of class schedule for the Fall Semester and sent to the school business office based on the student transmittal form.
- Deadline to apply: June 15 this year (2023) – April 1 after that
All Applicants should be prepared to attend the annual TAE4-HYDP Conference.

Additional items to include in application:
- Narrative on field of study, career choice, and future plans
- 4-H Projects and Experiences in the last 4 years
- Community service projects in the last 4 years
- 4-H Leadership Roles
- Outside 4-H Experiences (youth organizations, church, schools, etc)
- Copy of letter of acceptance (IF APPLICABLE)
- Copy of high school transcript
- 2 Letters of recommendation
